May Days

What has been going on with us lately? Well, we've been busy. With the nice weather and longer days, we are excited that summer is fast approaching.
After our Lake Winnie trip, we hit the road again--this time to Dallas, TX. You can see pictures on Marin's blog. Marin and I had a good time hanging around the hotel pool and going for walks while Matthew had to work!
Marin and I have also been on a quest to find playgroups, without much success. Marin and I aren't morning people and most playgroups meet EARLY (8 or 9 am). Our prime time to play is when most people's kids are napping. Marin doesn't take 3 hour naps during the middle of the day for 2 reasons. 1) I want him to go to sleep at night. and 2) I want him to go to sleep at night.
When we heard that our community has a summer playgroup, we were thrilled. When I heard that "most people like to meet in the early afternoons" (as in 9 am) I was bummed. 9 am is not early afternoon unless you got up at 5 am. But, I digress...
So, it looks like that Marin will be relegated to spending his days with me (and hopefully a few other slacker moms and their offspring) at the pool or park at a decent hour--like after lunch!
Anyone care to join us?
