Memorial Day Weekend

Hello everyone! Sorry I've been delinquent with the posting, but I do have a cute reason. :) Mr. Marin is doing great. If he'd just learn the difference between day and night, we'd be golden. I usually sleep all day because I'm up all night so that is why I don't really post as often as I used to. Matthew is good about keeping up with Marin's blog, so you can check out what he's up to at http://marin.mrorex.com.
We don't really have any huge plans for this weekend. Just having any "plans" at all is exciting around here! Marin is still under quarantine for a couple more weeks so my mom is coming down to give Matthew and me a break. We'll be able to go out together this weekend! Yeah! We already have a couple movies we want to see. First up will be Angels and Demons and then it is a toss up between Night at The Museum and Terminator. Maybe we'll go crazy and see all 3?!
Nothing gives a new mom heart failure more than hearing the words, "We're on our way down" from relatives when you didn't know they were coming. No, not mom. We knew she was coming. My uncle and possibly my grandparents are on their way down to our house. Matthew stayed up with Marin last night since he didn't have to work today and I finally pulled my lazy self out of bed around 11 a.m. I was letting Lexi out and just happened to think maybe I should check my cell and see if anyone had called. I had a voice mail from my granny's house and it was my uncle saying that he was on his way to Nashville! I was instructed to call him if I got the message before he left. I called my granny's house and no answer. So, I guess this means they are coming too? Who knows. This would be an easy question to answer if I just called their cells. But, none of them have cell phones. So, since they aren't answering at their house, I guess this means we're having visitors any minute now. None of the above have ever made the trek down here so it is the blind leading the blind. They should have been here by now if they are indeed coming so I'm getting a little concerned. I'll let you know if I ever hear from them.
The pool opens this weekend in our community but I don't think I have any business being in the pool until I go back to the doctor. Marin is too little to put sunblock on and his skin is so sensitive anyway so I'm keeping him out of the chlorine right now too. So, no pool for us. Matthew doesn't like going up to the pool because he says it is so nuts with all the kids running around it is more stressful than relaxing. I guess we'll have to get over that when Marin gets big enough to start asking to go. :) I'm pretty pumped for the time that Marin starts asking to go because we have a water park in town that I've always wanted to go to. I figured I can blame it on Marin and get season passes one of these days.
We did have a bit of cabin fever and decided to take Marin out to eat. We didn't go in though, we went to Red Robin and sat on their smoke-free patio and were only sharing the space with one other family. So, we figured we were as germ-free as we could be. It was nice just to be out of the house even though it wasn't Matthew's first choice for a birthday dinner. My sweet hubby turned 32 on May 19th, in case you didn't know. I told him he can pick where we go this weekend since mom can watch Marin.
Marin goes back to the doctor on June 1st and we're hoping that he lifts his swine flu induced no crowd ban then. It will be awesome to be able to take him to the mall, Target, Wal-Mart, and all kinds of other places that we used to dread going and now take turns going because it is so exciting. ha.ha.
Well, I guess I'd better get off here and put out an APB on my AWOL relatives. I'll keep you posted if I ever hear back from them. My dad says they are probably half way to Arkansas by now. I just hope they don't end up in downtown Nashville before they call. They don't have to go all the way to downtown to get to our house but they don't know that. And if they end up in Memorial Day traffic in downtown, they are screwed.
