I, like most of the sane people in America, am shocked this morning. Anoop Desai, the clear leader in the male vocalists on American Idol was voted off last night! Matthew and I were sure he was a front runner and didn't think in a million years that he wouldn't get the necessary votes to make it through to the top 2 in the finals, much less the top 12!

But, don't worry Anoop fans, he has a chance to be brought back by the judges in the wild card round. Let's keep our fingers crossed that he makes it back on the show! Matthew and I have vowed not to watch the rest of the season if he doesn't. I think Matthew put it best when after finding out who had made the top 12 instead of Anoop, "If those are the kind of people (singers) they are going to have on the show this year, I'm not watching it." Well said Matthew, well said.

In other sad news, the Nashville Predators lost 6-2 to the Detroit Red Wings last night. The only glimmer of hope I have is the prospect of kicking some major St. Louis Blues tail tonight!
