Well, I had high hopes for this season of American Idol. I was really pumped up to watch it last night, but ended up only watching 15 minutes (not consecutive 15 minutes, just flipped back and forth). It was the exact same crap that they put on there last year and the year before and the year before. You get my drift. I had read online on various sites about them promising not to put as many bad singers on there. Well, this was a lie. Most of the show (the parts that I watched) was filled with bad singers. People balling because they didn't get picked even though the really blew. You know the standard crap.

Paul and Simon are still fighting with each other. Ryan is still goofy. Everyone is still Randy Jackson's "dawg". And the new judge (Kara) seems to be into it with Simon as well and gets into arguing with the contestants like Simon does. Just annoying.

The worst part was that they put people through to Hollywood that I thought had no business going. What about bikini girl? I couldn't bear to watch her bare it all on t.v. Did they end up putting her though like the rumors suggested? And, how many "unique" rocker chicks are we going to have to see? The girl with the nose ring and pink hair that they said was "different and unique" is just like every other rocker chick they have had on there and I really didn't like her voice. Not as horrible as Amanda from last year, but close enough.

The only bright spots I saw in the show were the high school kid from Utah who sounded a lot like David Archuletta. And, I did really think the vision impaired guy sounded really good--like a real musician. Did I miss anyone else good since I only watched 15 minutes total? Or have I about summed it up with the "good" people and everyone else sucked as bad as Sanjaya or the guy who sings She Bangs?
